Police arrest suspect in connection with fatal I-25 hit-and-run Saturday
Denver police arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run Saturday on Interstate 25, where the victim was changing a flat tire.
Marisol Infante, 29, is being held on suspicion of leaving the scene of a crash involving death, according to a social media post from the Denver Police Department Thursday afternoon.
The hit-and-run took place just past 7 a.m. Saturday morning in the interstate’s southbound right-hand lane, just north of the West Alameda exit, police said. Infante, driving a black Toyota 4Runner, allegedly hit a person who was changing their tire on the right shoulder of the roadway.

The highway was closed for nearly three hours while emergency crews responded to the scene, authorities said.
Police issued a Medina Alert for the car Tuesday evening, asking the public for information on the vehicle’s whereabouts. The vehicle was described as a black Toyota 4Runner with a “CU” sticker on the back window that had damage on the passenger doors and a missing front passenger panel.

The charges against Infante will be determined by the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
