Woman dies in ‘tragic accident’ involving boat propeller at Lake Pueblo State Park
A 43-year-old woman has died in what officials called a “tragic accident” involving a motorized boat and contact with the engine propeller at Lake Pueblo State Park Saturday, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
The incident involved one powered boat and those on that boat, according to spokesman Dean Miller. It happened around 4 p.m. on the water near Denver Cove located mid-lake near north shore, according to a release from the agency.

A park ranger patrol boat raced to escort the boat with the woman to shore, where additional rangers and firefighters from the Pueblo West Fire Department were waiting.
Life-saving measures were attempted, but the woman was pronounced dead about an hour later.
“CPW offers condolences to the family and friends of the victim and everyone involved in the incident,” Joe Stadterman, the manager for the state park, said in the release.
At least four others have died from a water-related incident at Lake Pueblo State Park since May, according to unofficial numbers tracked by The Gazette.
