Centennial fire shutters four businesses

An overnight fire at a Centennial strip mall on Arapahoe Road near Havana Street shuttered four businesses as the building was declared uninhabitable. 

South Metro Fire Rescue crews were called out to the structure fire just after 1 a.m. Thursday at 11001 E. Arapahoe Place. 

The building housed Bawarchi Indian Cuisine, Happy Paw Grooming, Baker’s Inn and Vi Vi Vietnamese Noodle Soup & Grill.

Firefighters battled the blaze for just under two hours, before declaring it under control. 

“Investigators from the South Metro Fire Rescue’s Marshal’s Office have entered the building and begin their investigation into the cause of the fire,” according to a social media post on X. “All four businesses have been closed and declared uninhabitable due to the fire damage by the (Centennial) building inspector.”
