A Colorado musician is reporting that $20,000 worth of music equipment was stolen from his band trailer in Pueblo, Colorado, having made the announcement on social media on July 28.
According to country artist Cody Cozz, the trailer was parked near the car dealerships along Highway 50 on the northern edge of the city when the break-in occurred. Stolen equipment included drum equipment, mics, and other items.
Cody made a request for those in the area to share potential security footage that may have captured the incident.
A GoFundMe related to the theft includes the following statement:
“This is how I make my living… So I’m reaching out to anybody who is willing and able to donate whatever they can to build back all the equipment that is lost. I hate to do this and I’m super disappointed so please share and help if you can. Thank you so much.”
The GoFundMe has already raised more than $9,000 of a $20,000 goal.
Pueblo is a city in Colorado where crime is an issue, with the crime rate said to be 196% of the national average per a report from Longmont Leader. A high rate of property crime is a key reason this number is so high. More information about crime rates in Pueblo can be found on Niche.com.
