Denver Nuggets to face Minnesota Timberwolves in San Diego during preseason
The Nuggets are going back to California.
Denver will play a preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in San Diego on Oct. 4, the team announced Wednesday. The Nuggets will be the home team in the game played at Pechanga Arena, part of The Kroenke Group’s 48-acre Midway Rising redevelopment.
San Diego was the site of Denver’s training camp in 2022 and 2023 before last season’s preseason trip to Abu Dhabi changed plans. The city was home to the San Diego Rockets from 1967-71 and the Clippers (1978-84) before the franchise relocated to Los Angeles.
The game against the Timberwolves comes two days before Denver is set to play the Toronto Raptors in Vancouver in the NBA Canada Series.
The rest of the preseason and regular-season schedules will be released in the coming weeks.
