Denver weather: Near 100 Wednesday as heat advisory looms for Thursday
More hazy skies Wednesday around metro Denver along with very warm temperatures, low humidity and an upcoming heat advisory are all forecast.
Denverites can expect areas of smoke throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. It’ll be mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 98. South winds between 5 to 8 mph become west northwest in the morning.

Tonight it’ll be mostly cloudy, then gradually become clear, with a low around 66. South southwest winds between 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
A heat advisory goes into effect Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for Fort Collins, Boulder, Denver, and the western suburbs of Denver. Temperatures could reach 100 degrees.
Friday cools ever so slightly, with high temperatures still in the upper 90s ahead of greater cooling and potentially rain showers both weekend days.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 98. South southwest wind 6 to 8 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.
Friday: Partly sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Saturday: A 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90.
Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 85.
