Rail worker hospitalized after train car derailment in Denver Tuesday morning
A railroad worker was hospitalized after he was pinned under a train car at the BNSF rail yard in Denver early Tuesday morning.
Crews responded to 3700 N. Globeville Road just after midnight Tuesday morning to a call of someone being trapped, the Denver Fire Department said Tuesday.
Upon arrival, crews found a rail worker pinned under a train car that had derailed, the department said on Facebook. After being rescued, he was taken to the hospital with severe injuries to his right leg.
The man was working on the train at the time of the incident, the department confirmed.
The incident took place less than a day after multiple people were injured after the RTD A line crashed into a semi-tractor trailer truck in Aurora.
