The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office has issued evacuation orders for part of the county after a wildfire broke out on Sunday.

In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office told residents in the Panorama Subdivision, as well as those east of County Road 100, from Upper Cattle Creek to the Ranch at Coulter Creek, to evacuate the area immediately.

The Ranch, a Coulter Creek Fire, is 35-40 acres. The Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District said multiple ground and air resources are on scene.

Roaring Fork High School is the evacuation center. Anyone who needs to move livestock to safety can contact the Alpine Equine Hospital to put them at the office. Those who need help can call 970-366-1320.

Residents can sign up for emergency notifications here.
