The Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival has been a special summer treat for families since 1969 and runs all weekend at Anderson Park, 44th and Field Street. There’s a community-focus Grand Parade, with a queen, honoring distinguished locals Saturday morning after the pancake breakfast. Music by 15 bands and lots of tributes (from Creedence Clearwater Revival and Led Zeppelin to Beatles, Foreigner and the Rolling Stones) during three days.
