Man’s body recovered from Clear Creek in Arvada

Fire crews from West Metro Fire recovered a man’s body from Clear Creek in Jefferson County on Sunday evening, West Metro Fire Rescue said.

West Metro and the Arvada Police Department (APD) said a kayaker discovered the man’s body in the creek just off 48th Avenue, near the Clear Creek trailhead. 

Clear Creek trailhead is just south of the Interstate 70 and Interstate 76 interchange.

The call came in around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, police said and the fire department’s Swift Water Team recovered the body. 

Investigators are working to identify the man and determine how he died.
