Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors chosen to play in preseason Canada Series

The Nuggets are headed north as part of their preseason preparations.
The NBA announced Tuesday the Nuggets and Raptors will meet in the Canada Series, but it won’t be a homecoming for Jamal Murray, whose hometown, Kitchener, is much closer to Toronto. The game is scheduled to take place in Vancouver on Oct. 6.

It marks the second consecutive season the Nuggets will play a preseason game out of the country. Last season, the Nuggets and Celtics played a pair of games in Abu Dhabi to kick off the preseason. This year’s trip won’t come with the same level of jet lag.
The rest of the Nuggets’ preseason and regular schedule will be released at a later date.

Vancouver was home to the Grizzlies from 1995 to 2001 before the franchise relocated to Memphis.
