No. 4 Denver Pioneers soccer beats Omaha 2-1 to enter postseason on five-match win streak | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

The Pios are peaking at the right time.

The No. 4/2 University of Denver soccer program closed a banner regular season with a 2-1 win at Omaha on Saturday.

The Pioneers won the conference title and will host the Summit League final at University of Denver Soccer Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Denver (12-2-4, 7-1) enters the postseason on a season-best five-game win streak.

Oje Ofunrein and Keegan Kelly scored goals Saturday, while Isaac Nehme had two saves in goal. Dylan Akau had a pair of assists and Sam Bassett added another.

The Pioneers will face Kansas City or Oral Roberts in the conference title match that begins at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $12 and can be purchased at DenverPioneers.com.
