Rafter dies after being rescued from Clear Creek

A man who was pulled from Clear Creek after his raft overturned on Tuesday has died, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. 

The man was one of four people rescued on Tuesday near Highway 58 and Tunnel 1.

The sheriff’s office said on Tuesday that the man was found unconscious and authorities performed CPR until medical assistance arrived.

One other person was transported to a local hospital while the other two did not require hospitalization.
